The VP of my company (on the left) is a breast cancer survivor. Her friend from grade school that she grew up with is fighting liver cancer. Since they live in different states..my VP is going to visit her in two weeks and asked me if I could "do" something with these two photos. The VP used to play the accordian when she was young and her friend tap danced.
I used pink (to symbolize breast cancer) as the background on the accordian and in the corner cut outs...on the left side of the page. On the right side I used Emerald Green (liver cancer color) as the background and in the corners. I felt that using "cancer" ribbons would take away from the actual feeling of friendship - while the two friends will know the meaning behind the colors without speaking about it.
The poem "No matter where our paths may lead...friendship brings us home"! is a saying I created.
