Sue, your journaling touched me so. I feel so sad that you lost both parents young. What a wonderful tribute this is the the man your Dad was. I love his happy face here. He looks like someone you'd want to spend time with. Great design. The colors here are so uplifting and cheerful. Your doodling is outrageous. I love how you did the flowers. Just amazing, this page.
Your journaling is so wonderful! It sounds like he was an amazing Dad. I'm so sorry for your loss. I think the blue goes perfectly with his shirt, and I agree with Mo N Jo below me about celebrating the awesome person he was!
Oh Sue, this is an awesome tribute. Im so sorry that you lost your dad and mom at such a young age. I love the colors. Bright blue is one of my faves. Im sure that he would have wanted you to celebrate his life, not mourn his death. Blue, being bright and cheery is a celebration color. Great job!
I wouldn't change a thing! His picture drew me in and I love your journaling! It brought tears to my eyes - your dad reminds me of my grandfather and still miss him! Fantastic LO!
This is so touching. I'm so sorry you lost your folks so young...but it sounds like you had wonderful parents. Your layout is sweet and I love the journaling..both the words and how you did it.
Having lost my Dad when I was only 10 years old. This LO really touches my heart. I think the bright blue shows the love and life on his face. And those doodled button circles are the coolest. I will be trying these in the near future.
This is fantastic. i don't know how serious you could have made it with that smiling face. LOL!! Wonderful tribute to him. He sounds like a wonderful Dad. One I would have loved to have had. I'm so sorry your Mom died so young. Seven kids, wow!!! Sounds like an amazing family!!;
What a way to recognize and do tribute to your Dad and all that he taught you while in your life. This is absolutely BEAUTIFUL the way you brought all the elements in to go with his shirt color.

Your journaling is so sweet and touching and I'm sad that you lost both parents much too soon. Your dad was very handsome and sounds like the ideal father. What a legacy he's left for his kids! Thank you for sharing about him. Big hugs to you!

I think this is fabulous! love the journaling, love the pic of your dad, love the way you did the journaling....everything about this is wonderful! your dad is a hero...hugs.
I wanted this to be more serious, but my dad is wearing that bright blue shirt and I didn't know how best to scrap this. It still looks like something is missing. All the white dots and dashes on the letters, circle, frame and additional flowers are doodled, as well as the extra lines on the additional flowers.
Journaling says: My mom died at 35 years of age leaving 7 children for my dad to raise. It was the only time I saw him cry. It touched my heart to this very day. My dad taught me that anything is possible. My dad taught me to respect people regardless of age, nationality or color. My dad taught me the real meaning of honesty and integrity. My dad taught me to cook some awesome Italian food! My dad unexpectedly died just one week after this picture was taken. He was only 55 years old. My dad died in 1985. I still miss him. My dad was a true hero! My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it." Author: Clarence Kelland
