wow, fabulous shot! I want some chicory growing in my yard, I think it is so pretty. love the curly stamens? or are they the pistils? (need to do some biology review I guess) either way aren't they pretty!

POD...9-10-09...INSECT...Narcissus Bulb Fly

9-10-09...I spotted this insect sitting on a Chicory flower, it resembles a Bee/Wasp but I think it is a Narcissus Bulb Fly. Note its antennas, they are very short & clubbed on the ends. [P9109355]
