On the Amish trip I took in October 2005, we stopped at Warther's in Dover, Ohio. They are know for making knives...kitchen knives, carving knives, all kinds of knives. The grandfather of the family, over the years, carved all these wonderful trains. He would go "look" over the real train, actually crawl all over it, taking notes and drawing pictures. He would then carve all these tiny pieces and put them together to create these trains to finest detail. Some of them even had working parts, wheels moving, etc. Each separate train only took him one year or less to complete.
