Oh Susan, you all are so lucky you can meet IRL......... I think, I'm moving to the US now that I'm alone........LOVE your LO and it makes me feel envious!!!!
One complaint...Who's Who? Other than that, I love everything about this awesome layout. You do such precise pen work, I can't tell if all the stitching is by machine, or laboriously drawn, stitch by stitch...Live well, Trudy
Absolutely Gorgeous! As Usual. I think I may try to lift this. I appreciate the way you tell how to do the scallops. I've got that punch, but had never thought about using it this way!
Excuse me??? Keeping us straight - my hiney!! :P Love it!! I love how you did that lace border on the inside!! Such beautiful work just to make us look good!!
you rocked this! I donno what you were talking about...the papers? Julie looks so normal..must be an optical illusion..gorgeous Lo anyways..I knew you would make something fab as always!
Whew! We look rough there! Could you have picked a more horrible pic of all of us? Luckily the fabulous scallop borders commands all the attention and no one is actually looking at the bags under our eyes or the fact that there are more Chins in this pic than in a Hong Kong telephone directory. Beautiful LO. :P
Oh my, what a wonderful photo, Susan, and what a fantastic and fun experience it must have been!! Love that gorgeous scalloped mat and the harmonious colours! Superb layout!!
Beautiful work Susan! How wonderful to have a pic with your scrapbooking friends! Love the punched edges.. that looks fantastic! Such a great quote too! tfs :)
Photo taken at our scrapping retreat in April of this year. This is another layout I did as guest designer for Scrapbucks. K and Company papers. I used the EK Success large scallop punch for the inside borders. Punched one in the rust and one in white and layered them. Then I constructed the frame on another piece of the ppr. The flowers were cut from another piece of the papers. Then I added a little chipboard and bling to the flower center. I also added some stickles to the flower and leaves for a little sparkle. The flower is pop-dotted for dimension. There are 3 bling brads that I placed through some chipboard circles and put them under the photo. Journaling is tucked behind the striped mat and reads:
April 3-5, 2009…A weekend we'll all remember. I had previous met Julie (retrojulie), and of course, Betty is my sister, but getting to meet Susan (scrappySusan) and Robbie was definitely a “treat.” I have to say that everyone was exactly as I had imagined them to be! I'm not usually a retreat kind of person, but I'm really glad that I went to this one, because after meeting these girls, Lord only knows what they would have been up to if I hadn't been there to keep them straight!
The quote in the title reads: A true FRIEND is someone who thinks that you are a good egg, even though she knows that you are slightly cracked ~Bernard Meltzer
All scrapping supplies (except for solid cardstock) are from Scrapbuck. Thanks, Laura!
