Thannk you for sharing this with the scrapbooking friends. This was so lovely and touching. The speech was very encouraging as well as waht life brings to us. I like how you captured this all in for your brother. When you loose someone so special it is the memories that you make for others that we can get these out and sit and look at them. helps the heart remember the good times we had with that person. All the memories. It is so true you have to "Love Life" and "Live each day to the fullest." Awesome work.
I am so moved by this. It's one of the most beautful, loving gifts I have ever seen. This is so thoughtful, meaningful and well done. It's also breathtakingly gorgeous. What an incredible tribute to your sister-in-law and how touched your brother must have been. What a beautiful eulogy at her funeral. So good that you captured that. I love the design with the pockets. Thank you for sharing this. I am so sorry for your loss.
This is truly beautiful, I have tears in my eyes as I type. What a beautiful lady she was, bet she's enjoying where she is and I hope there are many cats & dogs there to keep her company, Sue x
The eulogy must have been very difficult for your brother! It is beautiful. I know your pain. Losing two brothers in 5 years, I still feel the pain. He looks so very happy in the photos. Beautiful work Sue and a fitting memorial!
Wow, what wonderful words he had to say about his wife. i hope someday I mean that much to someone. Your album is so beautiful too. Fortunately they had many family pictures together. What an amazing gift for your brother. she would be the same age as me if she'd lived. I can't imagine dying two years ago. I'm so sorry.
What a touching and heartfelt story. What a wonderful tribute you've created for this amazing woman. I know your brother will treasure this lovely keepsake, Sue.
She will never be forgotten...and this is such a lovely gift from your heart. Beautiful collection of sweet pictures. Warm, comforting colors. Lovely pocket you created - the punch is so sweet, journaling, the little watch face, prety roses...it's all such a lovely gift.
It's lovely the way you keep the memories of the dear people in your family alive with your beautiful work Sue! I'm sure this gift was much appreciated!
I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister in law. You have made a beautiful tribute to give to your brother. VERY TOUCHING! I sit with tears as I do know the loss. It just brings all the my memories of my sister who passed at 35. When one passes because of a stupid human error, that is just NOT RIGHT!! I'm so sorry. I know how much it can hurt. My sisters passing was almost 18 years ago, and I can say there is are thoughts of her almost daily. She lived such a hard life with the Marfans I can't imagine having a doctor tell you, life expectance not a full life. 50 for Jutta, what a tragic loss. Again I'm sorry. Your brother must of been an emotional wreck with this beautiful tribute. Beautiful work, and a sad subject. Sherry
This is stunning;an amazing tribute to her. Thank you for the awesome description and Im sorry for the loss of your special sister in law. She sounds like an amazing woman. I know my DD would have loved her. She wants to help animals too.
This is so beautiful and loved reading about your dear SIL, your brother would have loved this I'll bet, you have done her proud because this is just stunning and so heartfelt
Oh Sue, you did an absolutely beautiful job on this!! Love the paper, the file folder, that gorgeous font, the roses, awesome pics... everything!!! I am so sorry for your loss. May God continue to give you HIS strength. I pray that your brother & family are doing well. Hugs sweetie!! Tracy
Oh what a beautiful beautiful eulogy and tribute to this wonderful lady! It made me teary eyed reading it. I have thought to myself so many times during the past few years that everyone should love and hug and forgive their family as you never know what might happen tomorrow. My mom died suddenly and I still regret not letting her know how much I loved her!
This is absolutely beautiful, both the album and the story that goes with it. You did a beautiful job on this Sue. She must have been very special to you...
I am truly speechless.....how utterly heart wrenching yet somehow truly beautiful. What a wonderful sister you are.....what a beautiful person she must have been. This is exquisite!!!
This is a gift that I gave to my brother after his wife died 2 years ago.
The backing is stiff cardboard covered with patterned paper, so it would set straight up on a shelf or stand. It opens for 2 additional pages and it has a small 12 page memory book.
My siser-in-law, Jutta (you-ta), died unexpectedly at age 50, due to complication and human errors at the hospital. She was a beautiful person and a dear friend. I miss her.
The pocket held her memorial handout (from the funeral) and behind it was a copy of the eulogy that my brother did at the funeral. It said:
We are here to pay our respects to a wonderful woman. Jutta Barbara Kopsick. Jutta had more friends than she realized. She didn’t think much of speeches and I wasn’t sure what to say up here or where to even begin. Then, when I was walking our Husky Mato in the woods I remembered the speech given by Coach T at last years high school graduation. He talked about the difficulties of his education and gave the graduating class a message. Love Life! Enjoy life. Do good deeds. Help the needy. Have fun and be somebody.
Jutta’s life was not easy. She traveled a very bumpy road before we met. Her life with me was not easy either. With my career taking us to Japan and then to Pennsylvania she left her career, family and friends behind. Add to that my daughter Bianca going thru several difficult stages of growth and then later on a foster child of the same age and life does not get easier. Jutta still had fun. With her family. With her friends and especially with her co-workers.
Jutta’s passion was helping animals. It became her purpose in life. We belong to several German and American organizations that help needy animals. The Humane Society of the US, the Monroe Animal League in Pennsylvania and TASSO to name a few. From time to time Jutta would buy extra dog and cat food and have me take it to the animal shelter in Neustadt. She didn’t go with me because she felt sorry for the abandoned animals. She had me build houses and feed stations for the stray cats at Panzer Kaserne and in Rodenbach. She always told me that if we hit the jackpot in the lottery that she would build and run her own animal shelter.
But it is now time to say “Sayonara Jutta-san”. You have touched many hearts and will be missed by more friends than you know. You should hug your family every day, as if it is the last time. You never know if it will be. Coach T is right. Love Life!
