Mini14 - If I were... - Project Idea

Get some of the Dawn Power Dissolver spray...that stuff works wonders on all kinds of things...dh loves to use it on the broiler pans, which he used to HATE to clean. I would sooo trade you for our flat top stove. I like the "old fashioned" stoves...there weren't so many "don't"s with them and if I made a mess, it just took some elbow grease and whatever I wanted to try to clean it with. LOL Dh wanted our flat top stove, so he gets to clean it.

Oh you DO have all my sympathy!! I have a smooth top and I am thankful every day that I don't have to deal with drip pans and ugly coils any longer.

LOL, I hat those too. I used aluminum foil too, or just went and bought new, but now I have ceramic for this very reason. Oven cleaner also works good on them. Good Luck.

I hate doing that too. I've never had a ceramic top, but I bet it would be nice. If I dont get them sparkling clean, I remind myself and DH that I kiss better than I clean :-)

oh we had one of those too! but now we have the ceramic topped one...i feel so much safer since its not as much of a fire hazard.

yep - I know what you mean. I've never had a ceramic top - we will once we start kitchen renos. I'm looking forward to it. At the moment, I use the tin-foil inserts that fit into the drip pans. So when they get too dirty, I just toss them and put nice clean shiny ones it.

LOL!!! You can get little foil liners for the drip pans at the grocery store, usually in the section where the foil baking pans are OR cover them with heavy-duty foil. :)
