thanks for sharing, as city girl living in the country i need to know these kinds of things, I stay out of the fields, and when a neighbor cow gets out, I will call the neighbor to let them now but i do not chase cows.and she looks serious.
She most definetly does not have a kind eye! She does look like she is giving you the "evil eye" though! She would not be on our place if she was so mean. We do the same with our bulls. We cull the ones like that, not only are they likely to hurt someone, even if their calves are decent looking they might have mom's attitude!
she's definitely checking you out. My Dad had a mean cow - she tried to take him out while he was on the Quad. She got shipped to market as soon as they could round her up into the trailer. Dad doesn't want mean ones. :)
I wouldn't get too close to this cow. She is a Brahman/Brangus cross and comes from a long line of pure meanness! Momma teaches 'em well. She chased me across that pasture one cold winter day and as you can see there are no trees to hide behind. So if I were you, I would use extreme caution when in that pasture. My folks actually sold out their herd, but the gentleman that bought them lease their ground and keep the cattle there. This old cow is kept around because she is a great producer despite her attitude and you don't have to worry about predators or people messing around in the pastures.
