A two-page LO that I still pull out occasionally (nearly 3 years later) to remind myself of all the ways God was taking care of my DGS before we even knew about him. A ton of journaling on this one, because there's a lot to tell and remember:

*Every baby is a miracle, but God has so obviously had you in mind for a long time.

*You were conceived within a week before Mommy & Daddy broke up. It's as if God said, "I need a child that is a special blend of these two people."

*Mommy was doing her hard-core cheerleading until she was 6-7 weeks along, getting hit in the stomach a lot. But we found out that you had an anterior placenta, which provided extra cushioning.

*The wreck that Mommy & Katie were in could have been SO much worse. Yet all Mommy got was a concussion and whiplash.

*Which means that all of the MRIs and x-rays were only of her head & shoulders - not her tummy.

*Of ALL the medication Mommy was on for her migraines - 10-12 kinds - none were for long enough or at the crucial time to cause problems for you.

*Mommy started school early, so she only has one year left - not two.

*The stay in the hospital in June was so they could give Mommy a blood vessel constrictor to stop her migraines. I'm no doctor, but I'm thinking blood vessel constrictors & umbilical cords aren't a good combination. But they couldn't keep an IV going on Mommy to give her the medicine. Aunt Amy says there's no way they should have had trouble giving an IV to a healthy teenager.

*Mommy worked really hard during her first two years of high school, so now she'll be able to go only half-days and still graduate on time with an honors diploma.

*Mommy was already thinking about going to nursing school. She can do that at IV (sic) Tech while you two live with Mamaw & Papaw. Mommy will still finish college by the time she's 20 and will be able to support herself and you.
