This one went straight to my faves. GREAT advice, both in the description and journaling, fantastic layout overall. Your children are absolutely beautiful and you scrap their photos phenomenally. It's not at all blurry or dark in my screen - beautiful color and photography and incredible design!!
Omg....once again you have blown me away with your scrappin style! I love your work so much! Your daughter is sooo pretty. I love the big photo and the 3 photos underneath showing her playing...serious vs playful...perfectly executed!
This is beautiful Kate! Really like how you overlapped the smaller photos over the large one. AND really happy to hear you are grabbing hold of a new approach...i'm sure it will be freeing! :) I get caught up in all kinds of "things" that can hold back my regular scrappin' to...so your words rang true with me. :)
Gorgeous!!!! Kate.. I love your work, I'll be watching you as you free yourself from competition, and obviously blossom into an even {BETTER} scrapper.. who thought it was possible??
I need a new scanner! In pre-scan, my images are crisp and true to color, but once they are scanned they are dark and blurry! What’s up with that?
This is one of my "would-be" HOF layouts. I’m glad I decided to just let go of this competition thing. It really hinders me from getting more done…and I want to be more productive and record as much of my life as possible. I’ve decided that is what is important for me.
I absolutely LOVE this layout, and I have a new approach: I’m going to let the process of creating be my passion! I finally allowed myself to use many of the products I have had packaged up for TOO long…it was SO much fun combining the different products on this layout. No more being afraid to use something because I might ruin it!
Products used: rhinestone brads/flowers by Creating Keepsakes, chipboard letters/rubber stamp/white acrylic paint by Making Memories, font=arial, cardstock by bazzill, rub-ons by KiMemories.
Journaling: Upon arriving at the apple orchard today you immediately asserted your position: you were one of the big girls, just like Aunt Lisa and I. It was so surreal to see you behaving like one of my girlfriends as you initiated the conversation and behaved like an adult. But I could see something in your eyes as you watched the children play...you were struggling over the choice to talk with us or play with the other children. I’m so glad that on this day you chose to play above all else...there will be so many more days in your future where playing is not among your choices. My advice: Don’t be afraid to miss out on the things of an adult life that appeal to you right now.
