Hehe I learned how to send a double page layout at last!

Okay so you have all seen my Christmas Tree, now see what it looks like with presents under it!

To explain a few of the techniques used:
Over the photos of the long Christmas trees on the sides I sewed red and gold sinamay. The “Christmas Tree” mat for the photographs is double layered. One layer, being green cardstock, with Magenta Mesh, being the second layer. These layers were then sewed on to the paper. I matted each photo on the tree and with the purple matted ones I wound gold thread around them. The baubles and stars are cut out from gold, bronze and purple lame ribbon. I chalked around the edges of the tree with red (barely discernable) and stitched two rows of machine stitching as well as hand stitched gold thin ribbon around the outline of the tree. The “pot” at the base of the tree is made of bronze foil paper.

The Title is hand-drawn, using a glaze over it to highlight it. The journaling also has a glaze over it to intensify the colour of the pen a little more. (I found the ink got sucked into the paper a little too much, any hints with regards to this, or specialty pens that you might be able to advise me on?) I love using vellum, but didn’t here because it would have blocked out too much of the pattern of the paper. I do not have a wide printer so I couldn’t put the paper through the printer. What would you have done, to make the journaling brighter? I would love to hear from you.

The decals in the bottom corners under the trees are embroidered on my embroidery machine.

Thanks for taking the time to look at the layouts. AND
Happy New Year!!
