This was my page for Scraptathlon week 3. Another page no one liked but me LOL. The journaling reads:

Every day, as the sun rises above the hills and plains of this great nation, I am there. I fly upon the early morning breeze, and as the sun touches my face, those who see me and truly understand me feel their hearts skip a beat.

Every day, in classrooms across this amazing country, the voices of children ring out in unison, pledging their alleigance to me. Some do not understand the words they speak, but some do. And those who truly know what it is they say feel a thrill down to their toes, because they know they are pledging alleigance to something great, something truly marvelous.

Every day, in houses of government, I hang as a reminder of the people that government is created to protect. Some seem to never notice me, to never comprehend what their duty truly is, although they are sworn to uphold that for which I stand. But there are others, others who still feel that awe when they see me. And it is because of these that I fly.

Every day, over military installations, I am unfurled as the men and women who serve and protect this nation do their duty to her. These patriots, these heroes, wear me proudly on their uniforms, and salute me with great pride, for they know firsthand what I mean. They understand on the deepest possible level what price freedom costs. Theirs is not a lipservice lightly given, but a true and faithful service. It is their blood that runs in the colors I wear.

Every day, all over this country, I fly above men and women who walk below me. Some love me; some fear me. Some would die for me; some would die to destroy me. Some understand my price; some take that price for granted. And I wave for the freedom of each of these.

Every day I am draped over the coffins of those who have died in the service of their country. As bugles play Taps and mourners weep, I lie over the bodies of the heroes of this land, a somber reminder of the price of liberty.

Every evening I fly with pride as men and women, boys and girls, join to salute me and sing my song. At sporting events all around America, these voices raise together to attempt once again to master those difficult notes. And I am an immediate answer to the question they ask in their music, as I wave over their homeland.

Every night as the sun sets the lights are turned upon me. I fly in the darkness, lit by those spotlights, those beacons. Look here, the lights say. This is what you must remember. Remember why I fly. Remember who has paid the price that I might be here, that you might be free. Remember that even in the darkness, the Star-Spangled Banner does wave-- over the land of the free and the home of the brave.

There is also journaling to my son around the lower left-hand corner.
