I like this announcement-it is definitely not your typical baby girl announcement. I wonder what it would look like if the fibers were purple like the flower and stripe in the paper are and the stamped BeBe was in a darker shade of purple? That's the only thing I personally would try differently just to see how it looks. You are so creative to have done this! Your SIL is very lucky!
~~DEAR FRIENDS, THANKS FOR ANY AND ALL ADVICE ON THIS CARD. I HOPE MY SIL LOVES THEM! I DID ALTER A FEW THINGS, I TIED A KNOT WITH THE FIBER AND LEFT THE STINGS A LITTLE LONG, AND I SEWED WITH A DARK BROWN SO THAT THE STICHING SHOWED UP NICELY. THEY TURNED OUT GREAT AND I EVEN ALTERED A BROWN PAPER BAG TO MATCH AS THE GIFT BAG!~~~My sis in law is having her first baby and I am working on making her announcment cards as a gift for her. She only requested that they not be too pink. This is the first one, a sample. I am not sure I like it. I need some real constructive critizism. Does the fiber match, does the striped paper look alright? What about the brown? Arg! I liked the idea at first and I feel it's OKAY, and would work, but I want more opinions. Lastly, the have a french name for the little girl picked out, we dont' know what it is but that is why I went with Bebe.
