I've started working on our Get Better at Photography group assignment 'Religion.' I took photos of a couple of the monumental Polish churches that can be seen from the Kennedy Expressway on our way into Chicago yesterday. This is St. Mary of the Angels -- it's a Neoclassical Cathedral style church in the Bucktown neighborhood. It was slated to be demolished in 1988, but was saved by it's parishioners and had extensive restoration work done in the 90's. There are 26 of those 9 ft. angels on the roof. (Thanks, Wikipedia!)

I was thrilled with the way this one came out -- considering we were going 60 mph down the Kennedy!
