In the later months of pregnancy, I heard a lot of advice about motherhood and how wonderful it is. When my son was born, I was terrified! He was so sweet and tiny, but I felt so inadequate. Maybe it was the hormones or the emotional aspect of giving birth, but I just couldn't imagine every sleeping again! When he slept, I listened to make sure he was breathing or if he sighed, I jumped to check on him. I was a nervous wreck and after breastfeeding didn't work, I felt like a failure as a mom. Finally, I relaxed and enjoyed the immense love that overwhelmed me when I looked at him. Mark is my sweet love and I would give my life for him.
Being a mom s the hardest job, but the most rewarding!
