Journaling: "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." ~Pablo Picasso My entire life I knew I would be a teacher. I would take home the extra dittos from my classroom in 3rd grade and set up my dolls(and my little sister) as my pupils. I would assign homework and mimic what Mrs. Lavine did that day in class. I think I had the smartest stuffed animal collection on the block! When I went to college, I knew I wanted to be in the art field and naturally a teacher. I studied Fine Arts and took a few education classes, but decided to put off the teaching part until Graduate school. After 6 years of school, I was finally an art educator! I am passionate about it. I want to share my joy and love of art and the process of creating with young minds. I know not all will be affected the way I am, but htose few that I can reach are enough. I hope that I am an effective and caring teacher. There are good days and bad, but in the end, I feel that I have something to share. I want to instill a thirst for knowledge inothers and quench my thirst for more knowledge in myself.
