I made this layout for a couple of different challenges...the butterfly challenge, and the distress challenge. The circle is cut out of a sheet of transparency film and then I used alcohol ink on it. I'm loving the alcohol ink! I cut a leaf from a scrap of transparency film to do the masking at the bottom...I used ink to mask the leaves. This was my first attempt at masking. I think it turned out pretty well. The pumpkin is paper pieced and inked. I distressed the mat around the photo and inked the edges of it. The flourishes are hand made using transparency film. It takes a little extra time to make them, but they are really worth it! The butterflies are punched using a Martha Stewart punch. They are made using...alcohol ink. I also used brown fabric paint for the bodies of the butterflies. I made the stick pin using my jewelry making supplies. **All of the items seen on this layout can be found in my etsy shop (except for the circle). Thanks for looking!
