shcg: WTG Sharon! I love your interpretation of my challenge. Great use of your OWN handwriting (as much as you don't typically use it) as the doodling. You're awesome! Let's see... some favorite parts-- the title treatment certainly!
SHCG: Your drawn title on this page is wonderful!! Once again I would maybe scribble a border around the photos and that is not necessarily needed - just another doodle. Not sure if I missed it or not, but I was also thinking a date somewhere would be something that could be added. Glad you enjoyed the twin cities - my husband and I make the two hour journey quite frequently.
SHCG: Very cute title. I love the bit about the "treatment." My only suggestion for both pages is to add a doodled border around the right sides of these photos and the left sides of the photos on the left page to create an illusion of a photo block when the two pages are set next to each other. I like the canvas look that the textured white cs brings to the spread. Your childlike qualities really shine through in your journaling, Sharon. Fun take on the challenge!
This is my response to CMLeach/Chris' Doodling Challenge for Scrap Happenzz Critique Group to use ONLY doodling (no paper other than background cs, no embellies) on a LO.
Please pardon the imperfect scanning! The margins got chopped off, as well as some of the words & the corner doodles on the left page.
This was a fun challenge to respond to! Initially I had a hard time - I had wanted to respond but, as my friends already know, I also have a ton of journaling for most of my pages. I keep writing journals which are often travelogues. I didn't think I had enough room for doodling AND journaling, so I decided to make the journaling also serve as most of the doodling. I didn't add much decorative doodling beyond that so the words & pics would be more of the focus. Placement/design inspired by Kuzatub's super "Minnesota 2000 - Museum of Questionable Medical Devices right" LO - Minnesota 2000 - Museum of Questionable Medical Devices right" LO http://www.scrapbook.com/myplace/index.php?mod=galleries&u=41507&m=view&id=2332757&page=1&f=1 . FYI, I blurred my sister's family's last name for privacy.
This LO is about a Thanksgiving '06 trip to Minneapolis & it goes chronologically after my “Mill City Museum” pages. ETA that's why I didn't put the date, because it appears on previous pages.
