From New York (AP) The New York Yankess have a secret. Skipper Joe Giradi is keeping mum. A new player is coming to the house that Ruth built. He's a virtual unknown from upstate with no professional training. His name is Jerry Lavy Jr and he's 44 years old. But nothing keeps this kid down. He will participating in Spring training in a few weeks. Will he be joining Joba in the reliever capacity, as pitching is his forte? It will be an interesting season for the Yanks and this rookie.
