I have a rule....if I comment on three or more layouts of a Scrapper...they become one of my Favorite Artists! Congrats...you've joined the ranks of my faves!! LOVE this LO as well! You are so very talented!! :)
This is a really pretty lo...for some great new doors. Sorry to hear your story though...we did rescue work afterwards and saw such loss...glad to hear and see you are doing well. TFS!
WONDERFUL page design,,,,,LOVE the larger sized photo in the center. SO much I like about this page= color, neg space '3', half circles on the bottom & top of horizontal strip, scallops, leaves...one day at a time...good for you that you are getting this done. So sorry you had such a disaster. xx
So sorry about what happened with katrina. A group of us went twice and did relief work there, sheetrocking and roofing houses. The devastation was unreal. Congrats on the new doors, cool page!
Oh Sharon!!!! YOU rae soooooo very creative !!! What an awesome lo you've created here for your new doors!!!! I'm so happy for you !!! Love those pp's too!!!
Oh my, Sharon, I didn't know you were affected by Hurricane Katrina; how awful. Love your wonderful details and your title! Love that band also - LOL!! So nicely done!
And what beautiful doors they are!!! I am so sorry that your family was impacted by Hurricane Katrina. I was part of a team who did animal rescue work in New Orleans and Biloxi for three weeks. My heart still aches for all those who lost so much. Glad you're able to restore your home, sweetie! Your LO is so well-designed and think your title is very clever too! Love the 3D feel of that middle photo of the door. Very creative and COOL! Big hugs, Sharon!
Sharon, this layout is FANTASTIC! I love your design! The title is very clever, and I love the way you used the leaf cutout. I would think that doing a layout of new doors would be very difficult, but you did an amazing job. It's another fave.
Beautiful layout! I am so sorry to hear about your home is MS!!! I bet you are very proud that you replaced 3 doors all by yourselves!!!! (I love that band, too!)
In 2005, we lost everything in our MS house from 4 1/2 feet down, including walls, doors, carpeting, kitchen cabinets, furniture, appliances and bathroom fixtures to Hurricane Katrina. We have slowly been replacing these items in order of importance. On our last trip down there, we finally got around to addressing having no doors. We had been putting this task off because we didn't really know how to do it, nor did we have the right tools. In August of this year, we decided to just go ahead and try it and whatever happened happened. We now have three shiny new doors on the master bath, hall bath and master bedroom. We have *eleven* more to do!
I took this layout idea from creativescrappers.com.
Thanks to Mrs. Bean for the lovely leaf cutout, which she made on her Cricut for me!
The title of the layout was borrowed from the band, "Three Doors Down", who got their start in Biloxi, MS.
