Erin went on her first field trip on Thursday, and I took a personal afternoon off to go along. She was adorable, of course. In the top photo, the owner of the orchard was beginning to tell the students the special way to pick an apple, and you can see she was supplying the answer before he did. Her teacher had read a book that explained you should always twist an apple when picking it and never pull it. He let the kids loose to go picking, and Erin was extremely concerned that the stems stay on the apples. If the stem comes off, the apples will dry out (hence the twist, not pull). She was very vigilent in checking each one to make sure it was okay. You can see her expression when one of them lost its stem. She was very concerned!! :)

As a side note, if as you are spraying your glimmer mist on your LO, you accidentally happen to spray it on the white wall next to your table, a quick application of a wet paper towel WILL save your living room wall. Just an FYI. :)
