My DSIL got married this weekend and had a Victorian themed wedding. She is trained in costume design and designed and made her dress, the maid of honour's dress and the flower girl dresses (My DDs were the flower girls!). She likes scrapbooking herself so rather than making her an album, I decided to make her a super deluxe kit to make her own album.

I got her a few of the Vintage Findings mini and medium sized kits but I took them apart and kept the parts I didn't think she'd use. I made up a bunch of little baggies with themed items. One baggie is all vintage ephemera (some real, some store bought), one is pastel Primas, one is vintage artisan Primas, one is all olive green ribbons and fibres (her colours were olive green, purple, and brown). One is a mish-mash of left over wedding stickers and stuff from my own wedding album, and one is vintage buttons, pins, brads, and clips. There are some borders, stickers, die cuts and transparencies from the Que Sera line by K and Company, some royalty-free vintage images I printed up from an image subscription I belong to, several packs of rub-ons, letter stickers, etc.

The fern stamp is something I picked up from the clearance rack and matched the fern emblem on her invitations almost exactly. I don't think she's done any distressing so I got her the Vintage Photo distress ink to make all the white stuff match the rest by distressing the edges. A couple of big petaloo flowers, some silk autumn leaves, a package of butterflies (way more than she'll need!), some bling, some pearls, some ribbons from the new Making Memories Autumn line, some stamped images and tags, some embossed pieces of cs. Yes, I definitely had FUN shopping for this gift! I tied everything up in neat little packages with bows and pins which she can also use in the scrapbook itself.
