Picture of our oldest cat when he was only 3 years old.
I’ll never forget the night Sam found me. He was definitely delivered from heaven to heal my broken heart! It was late on a Sunday night and I was sitting on my stoop crying my eyes out when I stood up to go inside - this baby kitten, no bigger than my hand, ran up my jeans! He was the cutest thing I had ever seen and I immediately forgot my sadness and went to work making my new found friend welcome! I made a small bed in the bathroom and ran out to the store and got all the kitten necessities - cat box, food, toys!
Sam has been nothing but a joy since that night, and 6 months later when I met Bruce, Sam immediately stole his heart, too!
This photo was taken in the winter of 1998 when we were living in Gothenburg, Nebraska with Bob and Joyce Hardnock. Sam loved to be outside and go “investigating” and this was one of those rare occasions that we let him out to wander around.
