Our accommodations in Moffat was a 19th century home, turned into a Bed & Breakfast called “The Lodge” located on Sidmount Avenue. Our host escorted us to our room on the 2nd floor. A good size room with a double bed, chest of drawers, radiator and a telly. The bathroom was just down the hall. Somehow,we managed to blow our hair dryer out first thing even though we had been prepared with the proper equipment.

After unpacking, we went in search of dinner; we’d been up for close to 30 hours with little sleep, but we were also famished.
Very little was open downtown; Black Bull Hotel’s restaurant was closed, but we did find a lovely Italian diner, “Claudio’s” located in the old Police House on Burnside Road. We ordered the lasagna which was excellent!

Afterwards we went back to The Lodge and retired for the evening.
