Fantastic page Alicia! I love that you added the S's too. What a great way to get the kids to work on those letters. I need to come up with something like this to help Connor with a few of his letters.
Today is Friday, time for a heritage page from me. Our challenge this week was to scrap a favorite toy, book, game from our childhood. As I'm looking through my photos, I found this one of me opening the game Candy Land. The photo is in really bad shape but it brought back a very vivid memory that I found important to get down. Here's the journaling: "I used to love this game - until 4th grade. It was then that I had to start going to a Speech Therapy class because I had a slight lisp and my S's did not come out very well. I remember playing Candy Land over and over again in Speech to learn my "s" sounds. This fun game then became work and a source of embarrassment for me. I was determined to get out of that class and by the end of the year, I was lisp-free but still hated this game." I have "S's" all over the border because every time we would stop at a space we would have to repeat over and over again our difficult letter sounds. Thanks for looking. Alicia
