Viva Las Vegas 1

My 2nd layout ever. I got the Making Memories Slice tool (for scrapping and for cards and other paper crafts) and I just love it!!! I also have been really working on my photography. This is an opening page layout for a series I am going to do for the trip to Viva Las Vegas rockabilly convention 2009. I used Photoshop elements 7 to extract elements of photos out of their backgrounds then i carefully cut them out and used them on this layout. I cut the letters on the Slice and the journalling shapes too. The journaling on the left says "Me with a sword" - inside joke for what we call Buick LeSabres. The journaling on the right says "Look closely in the chrome". The photos were all taken at the VLV Car Show. The image on the bottom right is the chrome on the front of one of the cars, and you can see my friends and my refelction in it taking the photo. The top right hand corner is a child's pedal car, and the sign was a funny one a vendor had at the show. The colors may not be ones that most people would think to put togehter, but i think they capture the retro feel of the car show and the convention in general.
