SHCG: before I clicked I though great ribbon/belt but when the page loaded no belt buckle. I am just not sure what the blue oval is. It's corny but I would suggest replacing the oval with a traditional graduation cap (or simple diamond shape) and a tassle. BUT I do LUV the inked photos. And, for the first time in SHCG history, the advice is... do NOT mat the photos.
SHCG: What a great second page...the ribbon carries over nicely. So simple yet stunning. I really like the distressing or inking that you did on the photos, great touch! Awesome job Sharon!
SHCG: Oh, now I understand the pink as well. I also really like the ribbon slide and how it matches the other shirts! A little something to the left of the date on this page might look nice....
shcg: my comments from the previous side stand here as well. question is: did you all plan to dress in pink for the purpose of easy scrapping later or simply by coincidence. :)
SHCG: Oh, now I can see why the pink. It does pick up on the photos and I like it even more here. I dig the faux ribbon slide, but would still like to see a brad or two. The typeface font looks great here. Simple, yet super spread, Sharon.
Please excuse the imperfect scanning/stitching here, there's more of a right margin that got cropped off. This is my BIL's '06 grad school grad in Portland OR (DH & I went there then tagged on a few days in San Fran on our own).
I kept things pretty streamlined here given the masculine subject but I still wanted a little “upbeatedness” since it was summer & we were all having fun together. The borders are pp & white ribbon. The "photo corners" are pp squares. The date is on a pp-covered chipboard shape. Top pic is a shot of BIL on the projector. (I think I might've used the same Quickutz font for my DH's grad school grad page…yes I did, heh, it just says “grad!” to me without taking up too much space, LOL…)
