The Prima kit used to make this album (album stand not included) lends itself to a vintage or fairy theme though I'm sure your creative brain will conjure up some other ingenious theme. I opted to make a fairy-themed album using last years Halloween photos and fairy tale my husband wrote to help the girls remember how beautiful, unique and kind they are. The kit comes with plenty of papers to complete an album but I also cut up one sheet of dark teal patterned paper to add colorful contrast throughout. Some of the paper flowers have cherubs and cupids printed on them so they were fun to add to some of the layouts.

The album cover was painted with rich teal paint then inked with distressing inks to muddy it up and bring out the pattern in the chipboard. To finish it off to look like aged copper I added copper, patina and gold Glimmer Mist and a final coat of ink. Sealing all surfaces with Krylon clear acrylic spray was a must.

I've had the fairy dress form (rubber stamp from Stampington) for awhile and wanted to use it in the album somehow. My husband worked it in to the story line. I colored the image with colored pencils and then added Stickles to make it glitzy and gorgeous.

An album that's sure to become a gorgeous and treasured family heirloom because of the precious photos, my art and hubby's writing.

Thanks for looking!
