Terri, you can buy pre embossed Quilling paper, this I did myself.
I do it after it's all put together. Just make sure the glue is totally dried before you do it.
I found out the hard way, it bubbles is you don't!!! ;)

This is beautiful Denise. I love the snowflakes. Did you emboss the paper before or after you quilled it? wow i'm just flabergasted this is so beautiful...
Here's another one to get your Quilling juices flowing! I did this for a client, who wanted a wintery feel. Which is really funny because they live in FL! I wanted the design to be simple, it's hard to tell but the Quilling paper is bright silver embossed then I printed on vellum and embossed that. Finally I ripped the edges and embossed them with silver. This one is framed to hang, the frame also has silver and black finish. I love the overall look with the B&W photo, hope you do too!
