You Mom will be very moved by this. I like the picture very much. It's nice to scrap pics that aren't posed and perfect and this one really captures an everyday moment. The monochromatic look is so powerful. Was that your sister's favorite color? This is a wonderful tribute.
this is incredibly lovely! what a beautiful layout! so many great details! and your layering and flowers are perfection! great job! your mom will treasure this!!!
Great tribute to your sister Louise, I'm sure she would have loved this lo!!
Just remember that she is in God's hands now, in Heaven away from saten's reach..... & that is truly AMAZING!! I love everything!! Great job!! I am sure your mom loves it too!! I sure do.... I LOVE it!!
God bless you & your cherished sister!!

What a beautiful tribute toyour sister! Only 35 years old - what a shame. My mom was only 35 years old when she died, and left 7 children from 5-15 years old. Love the purple here! (I'm thinking maybe it was her favorite color) The picture is wonderful, especially since you and your mom are in it too. You mom will LOVE this!!!!!
Another great LO for your mum. I love those lil butterflys they blend in so well with all the flora on the page. I think unposed photos are the best and Im forever trying to get one and always just get blurs. You all look very alike :)
So very beautiful, gorgeous colours and what a great LO for your mother.its true all photos of family no matter what the condition are priceless, especially one who has passed away.
My heart went out to you reading this, Sherry. You and I seem to share some of the same life experiences, as I mentioned to you before. This wonderful, artistic tribute to your sister is simply beautiful and your mom will hold it dear. I like this design, lace, gems, flowers, punch work, ALL OF IT. Faves, my friend.
Oh my gosh this is just so utterly pretty and feminine! The lace is gorgeous as are the butterflies, the colour is darling and the flowers are a beautiful addition! Stunning, love your work!
This is stunning. I am glad it will be displayed in a shadow box. Loved reading all the techniques you used. Love the pearl paint on the doily and the arrangement of gorgeous flowers. I know what you mean about any photo being precious of a loved one who has passed away. I love the candid unposed ones anyway.
amazing work and detail! I love the arrangement of flowers!! All the punched edges and title work are fab!!! Another beautiful LO for your Mom!!! I know she will enjoy this!!! Oh, and purple is my favorite color, so you know i'm lovin this!!!
Wow, Sherry, this layout is gorgeous. I LOVE glitter, and when I enlarged this, I could see all of the beautiful glitter on the papers and letters. The colours are very pretty, and this is a great tribute to your sister (for your mother's shaddow box). The lace and ribbon at the bottom remind me of a wedding garter. It's cool.
Oh my goodness. This is a wonderful tribute to you beloved sister!!!!! I love, love the photo taken in 1992 - the hair styles were so different then!!!!!!!!!!!! This is an absolutely stunning layout. My heart goes out to you and I will keep you in my prayers.
This layout is in memory of my sister Louise who passed away at the age of 35, on Feb 12, 1992 as a result of Marfan Syndrome . This is another layout made for my Mom to be added to her shadow box. The picture was taken as a casual picture, so no posing as you can tell. Louise is on the far right, I'm in the middle (Yep I look different from 19 years ago) and the far left is my eldest sister Linda (there are 3 other siblings not present) Thank you for looking I hope you enjoy. THX Sherry
The flowers are a variety, some bought from Micheals, there are a couple prima as well, and some just from the local dollar store. The lace Doily I painted with Folk Art Acrylic Paint #654 Metallic Amethyst. The butterflies are bought from ebay. The outside heart shape border is from Fiskars, the border around the picture is from Martha Stewart. The ribbon/lace is actually a garter belt bought from Michaels. On the two white roses I inked them slightly and added #688 Misty Lavender Pearl Ex on the tips to give it a bit of simmer (seen better in person) I added #682 Duo Green-Yellow Pearl Ex onto the leaves to give them a simmer of color. I added a touch of Crystal Stickles to some of the white flowers, to make them sparkle. The border background paper is from American Crafts and is very sparkly but doesn't show very well in the picture. Hope you enjoy
Forgive the quality of the picture, it was a picture taken on a 35 mm in 1990 then scanned but didn't scan well .. NOW had to retouch the brightness and such... so its not the best, but one can't be picky or choosy when its pictures of a loved one who is passed away. Each and every picture is precious. This picture however does look alot better in person.
