I am uploading my layouts from the Scraptathlon challenge to my own gallery. This was my entry for week 3. Any suggestions for improvements?

Original description:

This is for the Scraptathlon Week 3 challenge - A Day in the Life. Since I have been wanting to make an album with my Hurricane Rita pictures, I chose to scrap about the day the hurricane hit and compare life before and after Rita.

Title: Life with Hurricane Rita
Journaling:
"4:30a.m. We lost power.
5:30a.m. The winds begin to strengthen.
6:30a.m. Hurricane force winds hit.
10:00a.m. We sat on the front porch watching the storm and taking pictures.
4:00p.m. The winds slow down again.

When we left school, we planned on being host to several family members who were fleeing the coastal areas. We never imagined that there would still be hurricane force winds this far inland!"

Journaling reads:
"before
-Enjoyed the air condition
-Considered washing clothes and dishes a chore.
-Cooked on the stove and in the microwave.
-Watched t.v. and played on the computer.
-Slept inside in a nice comfortable bed.
-Loved my family.

after
-No air - over 100 degrees outside!
-Said I would be so happy just to be able to do a load of dishes and laundry again!
-Cooked outside on the grill. (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner!)
-Played Connect Four, Guess Who, and CHeckers outside on the porch.
-Slept outside on the porch swing and on the tailgate of the truck. (Wasn't any cooler!)
-Love my family even more!"
