This layout about my grandfather is actually a redo of an older layout, which I didn't quite like anymore (I did that layout quite some time ago, when I was just learning how to digiscrap).
The journaling goes like this: This photograph pictures my grandfather Christiaan at home, in the late fifties, reading the newspaper he worked for. He was such a passionate reader. Amongst his huge book collection were the complete works of Charles Dickens, Agatha Christie and many more. But reading wasn't his only passion, as he had great writing skills as well. Christiaan was a true poet. His rhyming year reviews were famous in Delft, as they were written for and published in the Delftsche Courant, every last day of the year. We are so fortunate to have all these treasured poems to remember him by...
the kit used for this layout is Turkey Doodle Day by Heather Thompson. The stitches are from her Oh so fine kit, both available at Scrappydoodlekits the font used is Blackjack
