What can I say but WOOOOOOOOOW????????????????????????? you are so beautiful with or without your long hair!!!! Love the quote and the stunning colors and design!!!
Love the photo of you Gab..so sweet!! You know that you don't look anywhere near 40!!! I love what you did with the overlay!! Nice little touch of burgandy..really pops!!
perfection and so beautiful! you look gorgeous! and you have the most beautiful hair! the purple in combination with the blue here is amazing! and your designs are incredible and never cease to inspire!!!
I love this! Amazing story and poem. My mom tells me that ALL THE TIME because I insist on keeping my hair long-your timing is so funny because she brought that up again a few days ago, out of the blue. I've always loved hair and will always love it. YOU have beautiful hair and I envy it every time I see a pic of you. Mine is not as thick any longer. Those were the days! Love EVERY inch of this! Great job for standing up for yourself and all the other older and wiser ladies who keep their hair! Going into my faves for sure.
Love the way you put so many layers on this lay-out........... LOVE the paper!! :D
LOVE the ink you put on there too, I LOVE the WHOLE thing...... it's AWESOME!!!!! :)
LOVE your work!!!!!!! :D
Your friend,
-Katie
Hun .. you are gorgeous!!! Love the poem too and that it's handwritten! The blues just glow here - and I am lovin' that background paper!! Awesome flowers too! And what a cool idea about the rhinestones!!! Love the glitter on the letters too!
I love this!!! Your poem is is right on, I totally agree, and this layout is fantastic!! Love the ribbon, all the flowers, and your pic with your lovely long hair! :)
I wholeheartedly agree with you about the hair! I want mine to grow LONGER. You look great in this photo, and the design and colour scheme are beautiful. I love those sheer black flowers at the top right.
WOW - Gorgeous lo!!!! And I am all for long hair!!! Way after 40!!! I am 48 (well in 12 days) and still have long hair and I think it looks GREAT!! Yours looks beautiful too!!!
So Beautiful!! My hair was past my waist well into my 40s, and no one ever said it made me look older! I don't think all those silly rules apply to any of us these days - so keep that gorgeous hair as long as you'd like!!
I agree, where do these silly rules come from. There are others that bug me too.. who are they to decide whats right and whats wrong! Another great Layout.
Love the layout...it is gorgeous and so are you. I love the quote and want to keep it even if I don't use it..I am 62 and I have long hair...because I like it...it does need a trim but I am keeping it long.
Well said, and published, lol. No one should tell us women what we should or shouldn't do. We are all beautiful with our hair down whether it be long, dried, thin and what not. Love your LO, and your gorgeous picture (you wear your hair beautifully0.
Lovely layout. I think a lot of older women, myself included, can look frumpy with long hair, especially when hair gets thinner, as it does with many women. You and your hair both look great.
Wow.... what a gorgeous pic of you!!! I love it when women let their hair down. I love this design and that gorgeous transparency. love the voile/lace and flowers too...... wonderful page hon!
This is another l/o I made using the November main kit from MY CREATIVE SCRAPBOOK. A friend of mine named Pearl Liu did a page a little while back and used a quote I just loved and knew I had to do a page using it myself! Now that I'm in my 40's I often hear comments how a woman in her 40's should have shorter hair.....here is my reply.....
"They say...
A woman of my age should not let her hair Fall below the marks of her shoulder. It will bring the face down And make her look older.
But I say...
A woman of my age Should let her hair grow. When it gets too long I think she will know
A woman of my age Is secure and finally sure of herself. She doesn't long to be nineteen, But neither is she ready for the shelf."
I used a bunch of different techniques on this page including tinting rhinestones with alcohol inks! A great way to co-ordinate the colours on your page!....you can checkout close-ups and 'tips & techniques' for this months pages at my blog http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.com/
