Wow you come up with the best embellishments and use them so well! I love your stories behind the older pictures as well. Your childhood sounds like it was magical!
Oh yeah-I have done that with a LO-LOL! That is so frustrating after all the work to realize you didn't check for size! Any way lovely LO-I always enjoy older photos but really enjoyed your journaling and memories behind the photo! jen
EVERYTIME I have to cut a LO after I have made it, I say NEVER again. Of course, it keeps happening!
Great LO! The colors go perfectly with the picture and title.
LOL! The coins look GREAT! Good job! NO, you are not the only one who has ever done that to your page and you won't be the last. I, myself, have done the exact same thing. LOL! The page looks awesome. I was privlidged to be able to watch it be put together. You're welcome for your coins and guess what? The SCRAPPERS ARE HERE! up at K's house. I told her I'd march right up and knock on that door, just say the word! LOL.
You looked so adorable in your cute little costume, Jeannie! No, my friend, you have at least one person who did that years ago (me! LOL!!). I was working on an 8.5 X 11 LO and then I matted that page and couldn't at first figure out why it didn't fit in the page protector!! So annoying!! But, you still created a truly marvelous LO which apparently evokes some fabulus memories! Very well done!!
Oh no, I can't say I've forgotten to cut off the brand strip, but really it didn't change the effect at all of your layout. It's still beautiful. Love the triple matting on the photo and the lace is gorgeous!
I really appreciate the detail you give in telling us how you do what you do. Wonderful colors. We don't see enough orange. Gorgeous flowers and the coins are a nice touch.
So sorry, I think I just drooled on this layout! It's gorgeous. Wow - I'm loving that flourish punch!!! The colors mixed with the black are awesome! The flowers the lace, everything about this is great!
Me at around 8 years old. My mom made the gypsy outfit. I remember the fabric feel and the different colors of rickrack and all the pieces of the costume were different colors. I banged that tamborine and danced around. The little coins under the lace and the little bindi which is the tiny flower in the top left corner were provided by my new friend Earthangel who scrapped with me and Scrapkaty this weekend and we had a great time. Thanks Deb and thanks Katy for sending it to me so quickly. The flourishes in the corner are actually my new Ek punch with orange backing. Lace is from Wal Mart sewing dept. Flowers are from Michaels Prima line and the Thickers and the Prima alphas have been Stickled to death. Orange glitter bird and flourishes by K and Co. I distressed the edges of the bg pp and inked it with orange. Grey paper is by Kimberly Poloson One may not notice this but my photo is not centered. It was centered and when I went to put the layout in the page protector it would not fit by half an inch...I looked at the back of the layout and realized I had not cut off the strip of pp with name of the company...gggrrrrr...had to cut the lace and the border but everything was so well stuck I could not move anything. Am I the only one who has done this?
