Another page for scraptathlon that received very few votes. :p Oh well, I love it anyway. :) The challenge was to show the masculine and feminine aspects of our life, and I chose to talk about my relationship with my husband.
The journaling is a poem written by me and says: ***** He's the him to my her The nerd to my geek He's the laugh to my cry And the calm to my freak
He's the air to my lungs He's the sun to my moon He's the pull to my push The words to my tune
He's the soft to my loud He's the up to my down He's the laugh to my cry And the Smile to my frown
He's the best of my worst He's the wise to my fool He's the love of my heart He's the warm to my cool
He's the one that I need He's the boy to my girl He's the read to my write And the sun to my world
He's the blue to my pink He's the man to my wife He's the spark in my dark He's the best of my life ****
To create the large background picture I desaturated my pic all the way, increased the contrast, and increased the brightness so it was almost white. Then I just printed it and ran it back through the printer to put the poem on it.
The blue and pink pictures I desaturated all the way, increased the contrast a LOT, and then upped the blue on one and a mix of red and green on the other to get the pinkish tint.
