Blue's Clues Birthday "Memo Board" - scrappychick's challenge

I saw scrappychick's sketch challenge and I took it! My oldest just turned 3 and he had 2 parties, 1 with my husbands family (in our hometown) and 1 with my family in Washington. This was the one with my husbands family. His parents had it at their house. We did a breakfast, it was a lot of fun.

I am so glad that scrappychick had this sketch challenge because since I only have pictures of him opening up and playing with his new toys, I couldn't really do what I was originally planning on doing. So this was perfect. I used the invitation that I made, and the journaling is a little "reminder" note, I wrote it as if he were writing it. I made the little envelope at the top to put in a list of the gifts he recieved. We gave him the scooter with his name on a license plate, he loves it! That's his Papa is holding it up.

This layout is helping me succeed in one of my New Year's relolution, to use up my old paper stash that has been sitting in my drawer for 3 years!!
