The white and black captions work well here. Great that you have so many of them... at least one per picture. Fun reading - especially given that the disaster wasn't real of course.
It's a DIASTER DRILL !!! In June of 1972, a neighbor of ours (in working with the city of Garden Grove) planned this disaster drill, to help teach the doctors & hospitals what to watch out for, in case of a true disaster. My son, Greg, was asked to participate, & the whole family joined in. You can see from picture to picture how the make up people made the kids actually look injured. They used chicken bones & catsup to make a 'compound fracture' see upper left pic) I took as many photos as possible in the limited time allowed, then in my car, followed the ambulance (they had 3 of them) to the hospital, with sirens screaming all the way. The kids loved it! I hope I was able to explain with each pic what was happening. Enjoy. Thank you for viewing. ;)
