That is really nice. I have a 7 foot tree that is black wrought iron like your tree in this picture and I have old fashioned blown ornaments on it. I will take a picture and load it for you to see. Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing.
Here's my month of December countdown tree which is fun for kids and adults alike (I think it would be great to give a parent or friend whose in assisted living). The ornaments were inspired by Dedra Long's St. Patrick's decorations. Here's the link to our video spotlight so you can see what she did:
Want to make one of these fun trees too? Here's some pointers:
Daily Ornaments: These are two scalloped circles (in a variety of colors) glued together to form a pocket (glue them so a circle tag can come in and out of the pocket easily - mine were glued together in a semi-circle at the bottom edge). Next, add a circle mat made from glitter paper (use the Fiskars large circle punch) followed by the date disk (use the 1 3/8" Paper Shaper circle punch). I created my discs in Word so you can use them too. Find them at the following link. Enjoy!
The die I used has a plain tab on the tag but the Slice "Studio Essentials" has a tag with a tab that has a hole for tying ribbon or more tulle.
The tree: The tree I used is an Advantis Tree Of Life Metal Display Tree. It has three pieces; two metal tree pieces and a top piece that holds everything together. Be sure to check out the link to it below.
Badge discs: I used all three Christmas badge sets from American Crafts and a few from the Romance sets to fill in any gaps. Each of these ornaments was made from a single scalloped circle and layers of colored circles in different color combinations to coordinate with the badges. (see other gallery images)
Clips: Tie tulle through both sides of the pinch clasps so the tree looks "fluffy".
I plan on using this same concept for other holidays especially Valentines when love notes can be hidden.
