My dad was retelling me about how my great grandma used to save the tiniest scraps of fabric to make her quilts and how crazy everyone thought it was. The quilts would always turn out being beautiful though. He imagined that I was the first to understand her. I opened up my tub of scrap paper, took out several pieces that I didn't think I was ever going to find use for because they were too oddly shaped or too small. This is what they became. I probably should have centered it. I thought off center would be more interesting, but once it was finished it seemed to be one of the rare cases when centering would have made more sense. And I got to use my new MSC cardinal punch for the first time!
