These are my two little ones (2009 upper, 2007 lower) as infants on their first visit to Santa and my Christmas wish for them as they grow from babies to boys to men. I want to give credit here to my friend Sharon (Fritchey) who did a layout called “Dear Katie” with the sweetest Christmas letter to her little one. I asked her for permission to lift her and she was so gracious in allowing me to do so. You can find Sharon's LO here: http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/399673/view/2354543/-1/50/2.html Also, I saw in the gallery that someone had made refrigerator magnets using alphas on CC chipboard and I copied that idea with my title letters that spell JOY.

I have been scrapbooking for almost a year now and just this week discovered glaze pens. How come no one told me? Lol. I don't know why I am so late to the party, but I sure had a lot of fun doodling on all the embellies and pp. And may have gone overboard…

It's hard to design a page with a lot of visible journaling. I originally wrote a longer letter, but I had to edit it a bit to fit. I won't post it all here but the end of it says this:

So as you grow and get along in this world and become who you are, in my dreams, you'll always know that in my eyes, you are beautiful, and in my heart, you are loved for the very person that you are. And nothing can change that. No distance, no failure, no disappointment, no hardship, no harsh words will ever be too great to overcome the love that I will always have for you, my children, and for the men you grow to be. My arms are always open to you.

Thanks for taking a peek.
