journaling says: Chase spent his first few hours of life in the nursery with Dad. Mom was in recovery until about 5 am, sleeping and letting the drugs wear off. By this time Chase was pretty hungry and Dad's finger made a nice pacifier. Chase definately did not like how bright everything was. He kept his eyes shut tight. Everybody was so excited to see the new addition to the family. Auntie Shelly, Nana, ANd Grandma were a few who got to visit with him that morning. HIs favorite person was Dad, who held him and rocked him and talked to him. Every time he heard Dad's voice, he stopped crying. :)
