To begin with, the bakery messed up the cake. It was supposed to be teddy bear and they made it Care Bear which didn't match the theme. When it was finally party time you didn't get very excited about anything and when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" you just looked at them. You had your own little cake to dig into but you didn't get much on your face because you didn't like the taste of it. You did like the feel of it, though, and enjoyed mashing it between your fingers.
