This is my photo entry for Photo of the Month for December. The theme is TRADITION.. it didn't have to be a holiday tradition... just any tradition.

This is in a way a holiday tradition, although I know it doesn't look like it LOL.

My family lives 1 1/2 hours from me... every December, my mom comes up to my area for an all day shopping day before Christmas... and I do mean ALL day (she comes here instead of me heading there because well their mall stinks... and there are very few stores in town... I live near a 2 bigger shopping areas)

Every year, even though she has already started baking cookies... she brings along with her a half dozen or a dozen (depending on how many the bakery actually have left by the time she stops in) of my favorite cookies from the downtown bakery back home. Some years she has only been able to get a couple cookies, because they are the most popular cookie in town... and if you don't get in there by 7 or at the latest 8 am... they might be sold out!!!

So here are my cookies from this morning that she brought for me when she came up to shop!

I LOVE these smiley face cookies!!! No other place makes them the way that bakery does!
