I made 20 of these, including the boxes, for the office holiday party. My theme for the party was "Let It Snow!" and as it turns out, it was perfectly timed with the snow storm here in Northern VA!

I used printer-friendly transparency film to print the time/date and cut them out circles using Nestabilities circles. I stamped the snowflakes (Inkadinkadoo) with Staz-On teal ink and embellished with assorted rhinestones and pearls. The "snow" inside is Diamond Dust and dropped in a few silver (Bazzill) snowflakes I punched out using the Martha Stewart snowflake corner punch.

I wanted the insert to move around in the globe, so I tied thread to it and affixed it to the underside of the silver cap.

I used the Cricut and and the Tags, Bags, and Boxes cartridge to make the poster board boxes and to ensure the ornament was secure, I made 3" x 1/2" bases with a cut-out (using the circle nesties again) for the ornament to sit snuggly inside. I added a little iridescent gift shred inside the box for more "snow & ice"

These were pretty easy and inexpensive but made a big impression on the guests.
