Two years ago I bought a bunch of pocket calendar books and redecorated the covers. The books were good for two years. This year I bought a bunch more and redecorated the covers and then gave them to friends, relatives, and coworkers as Christmas gifts. I made 35 of these in total. A lot of the paper I used, came from a scrapbook-page-a-day desktop calendar.
