Sharon, this is BRILLIANT! I love everything about it and don't know where to begin ...! The stitching is stunning - so neat - was it done on the machine? And I too would love to know how you did the black border around the Nestabilities shape. The flowers and pearls are SO lovely too. Your dear MIL must have been thrilled - and such gorgeous colours. Love it, love it, love it!!
How'd you get that black edge on the nestability shape? Is it two of them? This is a really awesome card...and she's 100! WOW! Love all the layering and stitching! Awesome card, Sharon!!!
This is beautiful! I love the flowers and pearls! That's a great idea about layering the numbers for the faux chipboard look - I'll have to remember that!
This is FANTASTIC! I hope she has a lovely Birthday!!!!!! I especially love how you cut 5 copies of the numerals and glued them together....great idea! Pretty punching, love the pearls.
I made this card for my MIL. She turned 100 on December 16. The design of the card is based on a card I saw on this site by Robyn W. The paper is Kand Co, and I used a border punch and a fern punch. I also used my Nestabilities for the sentiment shape. I cut the numbers using my Cricut and cut five copies of each number. Then, I glued the five layers together, creating a sort of faux chipboard effect.
