Snowman is handmade from felt, brads, stitching and snaps. The stamp on the right was mailed to me a while back by one of old AGC friends Gabigabs. Snow man paper is from My Mind's Eye. Tab was saved from some old baby boy tags that I nearly trashed, but repurposed by covering the big part of the tag behind the hidden journaling. Snowflake punches are from a punch for kids. Papers not listed below: Blue/Green dot and Green flourish are BoBunny and Snowman pattern paper is My Mind's Eye
This is a pic from the recent snow day we just had. Here is the journaling (hidden journaling is under tab)This photo looks like a fun day where we made a snowman. It was, but the day started a little crazy. I was to be at work that day at 6 am. Right about 5 am, it started snowing. I didn't get out the door until about 5:30, as I was unsure if I even wanted to try. Had I left on time, I think I would have made it to work, but I don't know when I would have been able to come home. As I drove, the snow came down harder and harder. My tires on my car were not good at all. We were waiting til Christmas to be over to get them, and this was a gamble that we lost. After Clark's Ferry, I began to slide. I am not good at all at driving in snow, and I pulled over. I called Daddy and he came to get me. By this time, the nurse at work agreed to stay a double because she had been scheduled to come back at 2 and this way she would just get it all done at once because she would get no rest with me being so late. So I wasn't to go back until 2. Once we got home, the snow was still coming down. Daddy doesn't like working on his own vehicles and honestly we don't make it a priority for our money to go toward fixing them because we have other issues. So, we have 2 vehicles that would have been great in the snow, but they won't run. I thought about borrowing my brother in law's truck, but what if I wrecked it? Daddy was concerned about that, so I ended up having to take off. The ironic part is that the money from this shift was to be for new tires! I felt bad for the poor nurse stuck at work, but I knew they had alot of administrative staff to call upon in case of emergency, unlike alot of other facilities. So it was a snow day!
Anya wanted to build a snowman, so we bundled her and Connor up. Connor was getting very tired and fussed nonstop. Once he gets like this, there is nothing to do except to put him down for his nap. I couldn't distract him with the snow no how. Then I tried rolling the snow the way I was taught to make a snow man, but the snow would not build onto itself. Daddy came out and helped. We piled the snow on using a bucket and water. So, the snowman here isn't one with the three big balls because it wasn't good packing snow. Regardless, it was a snowman and Anya loved it.!
