Great journaling, Susan. You really captured a memory. Good thing you didn't have to take photos at McDonald's for your thanksgiving layout.
I like your jolee's accent too.

Thanks ladies.
Scrappinhappy, yes, this is 12x12. That is what I normally work in. If I am doing 6x6 or 8x8, I normally mention it in the info section.
BTW - After scanning, I realized I didn't put the date on there. So, I went back with my date stamp and added it to the bottom of the title box. :)
Great journaling! Your family will be glad that you recorded this story in years to come! This will be THE Thanksgiving that everyone always says, "Remember when...!" Playing games and spending the day together as a family truly made it Thansgiving.
Wonderful story and layout. I love the colors and how you matted and blocked the pics. The embellishments go perfect on the Title and Journal blocks. Are these 12 x 12 pages?
Again, I am having scanning problems. One portion of the scan is clear, the rest is foggy.
This was that comical Thanksgiving that we laughed so much at on sb.com.
After scanning, I realized I didn't put the date on the layout. So, I took my date stamp and put it on the bottom right side of the title box.
Journaling reads: The problems started two days before Thanksgiving. I totally forgot to take the turkeys out of the freezer. We were frying one and roasting one. So, I had Jim take them and put them in the tub with cold water to thaw out. Later, I had Jim change the water. Sid and I were in the living room and heard something. We looked at each other and burst out laughing. Jim was on the side of the tub, changing the water and “singing” with clucking
During the night, Thanksgiving morning, we had a bad storm and lost power. Melissa and I got up and lit a bunch of candles and opened the windows...it was over 70 degrees out!! We sat and played YATZEE until the power came on after 7am. We quickly fixed our breakfast casserole and put it in the oven. While it was cooking we prepared the turkey and put it in as soon as the casserole came out.
Sid and I went to Walmart to get Jay’s Hokey Pokey Elmo for Christmas before they sold out with the shopping frenzy the next day. When we came home we found Jamie upset. He wasn’t used to my oven and didn’t realize that he had to turn it back on after the breakfast casserole, so it was noon and we had a raw, cold, turkey. Dinner just turned into supper. We turned it on and all piled into the cars and headed to Walmart. We ate lunch at McDonald’s there and spent a few hours window shopping.
We finally had an abreviated Thanksgiving Dinner at about 6:30, but we had a WONDERFUL day together.
Life in our home is NEVER dull.
