This is the best pic I could get of the memorial pendant that I picked up tonight. No pic I could get shows how detailed and gorgeous it is, or highlight the workmanship as it should be.

Many of you know that my DH Rick passed away unexpectedly on 9/18/09. The funeral home took his thumbprint and had it inscribed on a white gold disk. The back is engraved with his name and one of our private messages to each other. Our wedding bands were made at Craig Coyne Jewelers in Ellicott City, MD (HIGHLY recommend them...Sam and Jesse are wonderful, patient, creative, and very knowledgeable). Sam designed this pendant for me. It uses Rick's wedding ring as the outer circle. His ring was engraved inside when I bought it and is turned so that the engraving still shows (is not covered by the bale). The ring was a spinner and can still spin, as well. The white gold thumbprint is suspended from the bottom of the bale so that it hangs freely within the circle of his wedding band. It's impossible to see in this pic, but the bale is a very detailed design with Rick's birthstone, a brilliant blue sapphire, in the center.
