This is a layout of my hubby, who I love very much! Behind the picture is a handmade CD holder with a CD of Something to Be Proud Of by Montgomery Gentry......a song which makes me think of him. Around the border of the layout are some of the lyrics..."That's something to be proud of..That's a life you can hang your hat on..You don't need to make a million..Just be thankful to be workin'..If you're doing what
you're able..And putting food there on the table..And providing for the family that you love..That's something to be proud of..And if all you ever really do is the best you can..Well, you did it man..That's a chin held high as the tears fall down...A gut sucked in, a chest stuck out...Like a small town flag a-flyin'...Or a newborn baby cryin'...In the arms of the woman that you love...That's something to be proud of...Yeah, that's something to be proud of... ( Montgomery Gentry )

On the CD pocket, the journaling reads:

Dave ~ When we met each other, you were doing your dream job…..a Sniper in the Army. All you ever wanted was to be in the Army and go to war to fight for your country. You had no plans of ever marrying or having children. You were stationed in Hawaii and ranked the best out of everyone else in the Scout/Sniper group. You were very proud of your job. After we met, we decided to marry and started having kids right away. Since your job put you in the field a lot, you missed some of the milestones of your firstborn son. Being such a dedicated family man, you were very torn between your passion and your family. You didn’t want to miss a minute of your kids growing up and yet you were in the field the majority of the time. You made a very hard decision and left the military when your time was up to move back home so you could be a part of our everyday life. You sacrificed so much for your family by giving up your dream for yourself in order to give your three boys the best dad they could have. I hope you always know how proud we are of you. You may not be a Sniper but you are so much more……my best friend, my cheerleader, a little league coach, a son who cuts wood for his dad and helps him haul hay, a man who takes off work early just to take the kids bowling, loyal, loving, a hard-working man …..and THAT’S something to be proud of!

Thanks to everyone for looking! I look forward to your feedback :-)
